What does it mean to “get real” about what you are eating?
To me it means to be really honest about what truly nourishes you and what does not. Simple, right? Well… maybe not.
We have been conditioned to look for answers outside of ourselves, to have someone else tell us what to eat, how much of it and when to eat it.
This seems to be the niche I am here to fill and the gift I have to share in my blessed, beautiful life – to help you to tune into what is really right for you. It is not always so easy to figure this out for yourself.
Only you can really know what nourishes you.
In this quick fix, fast pace society, we have been conditioned to look for answers outside of ourselves, to have someone else tell us what to eat, how much of it and when to eat it.
True change comes when we have an experience of what is really good for us and how that feels compared to eating what really is not good for us and how that feels.
The problem with this approach is that it rarely creates a positive lasting change. True change comes when we have an experience of what is really good for us and how that feels compared to eating what really is not good for us and how that feels.
Intention and Clarification
What I am offering is to walk with you on your journey to help you to figure out what it means to truly nourish yourself. What I am offering you is my years of experience in counseling, listening and guiding you back to your own experience about what it means to truly nourish yourself – with real food.
What I am not offering is a quick fix or a 30 day program. What I am not offering is another diet or dogma, no matter how good and pure it may be.
Often I thought that that diet was “the one“..now I have matured to realize that no one diet is right for everyone..
I have become “an expert” at many diets through my years of exploring how I nourish myself. And often I thought that that diet was “the one“.
It is an individual journey to feel into what is really right for you. I am completely finished with prescribing one particular diet for all.
When I was a vegetarian, I swore I would eat that way for the rest of my life. When I swung the other direction and ate meat, dairy, fat, eggs and nutrient dense food according to the principles of Dr. Weston Price, I felt once again that was the answer.
Only you can really know what nourishes you
And now I have matured to realize that no one diet is right for everyone. Somewhere in the middle is usually right for most people, but it is an individual journey to feel into what is really right for you. I am completely finished with prescribing one particular diet for all.
I have had so much experience exploring this for myself and have also worked with others for the last 11 years in a one on one setting and in group settings helping them to get past a rigid diet they may have signed up for and into nourishing themselves with foods that resonated more with them, their tastes, their body type, their ancestry, their lifestyle, etc.
Only you can really know what nourishes you
